Abu Qir marine port

Executive Summary

The Abu Qir Military Port project, initiated in 2022 in Abu-Qir, Alexandria Governorate, Egypt, was developed for the Egyptian Navy. The port features a 260-meter gravity block quay wall and includes key materials such as 1,200 tons of steel, 240,000 cubic meters of concrete, and 2,000,000 tons of rock. Covering a built-up area of 3,000 square meters and a paved area of 190,000 square meters, the port enhances military maritime operations.

Project Description

Abu Qir Military Port serves as a strategic facility for the Egyptian Navy, 

designed to support various military activities. 

The project encompasses extensive concrete, 

steel, and marine works, along with piling, breakwaters, 

soil improvement, and utility installations.

 Its robust infrastructure ensures operational readiness and safety for naval operations.

Client Challenge

The Egyptian Navy required a port that could meet the unique demands of military operations, including the capacity to handle heavy materials and equipment. Ensuring structural integrity while adhering to stringent safety and environmental regulations was critical. The challenge was to create a reliable facility that supports efficient naval logistics and operations.
