Executive Summary

In 2021, the Suez Canal Economic Authority commissioned a strategic port development project in Arish, Egypt, to support maritime trade and regional economic growth. Covering 267 hectares with a built-up area of 32,074 m², the project introduced modern quay walls, breakwaters, utilities, and infrastructure, transforming Arish into a key logistics hub in North Sinai.

Project Description

Key project elements included:

  • Gravity block quay wall (915 m)

  • Breakwaters with tetrapod armor protection

  • Fencing, utilities, infrastructure, and pavements

  • Extensive concrete, steel, marine works, soil improvement, and building construction

  • Breakwater removal as part of the site development works

  • Daily capacity: 500 m³ concrete production and 3,000 tons rock supply

  • 21,000 LM piles executed to reinforce soil and structures

Equipment included a 450-ton gantry crane, specialized marine equipment

and an on-site concrete station to ensure continuous productivity.
